Our Inspiration

Past Traumas and Forgiveness - David Hawkins

"Fears are eliminated by graceful acceptance of the qualities inherent in the human condition which brings to awareness the comforting realization that one’s discomforts are shared equally by all. This results in a healing compassion towards all life. To become loving brings an end to the fear of loss of love, for lovingness engenders love wherever it goes." ~David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D. “I: Reality and Subjectivity”

"I am only subject to what I

hold in my mind, if I choose not

to hold that in my mind then I

am not subject to it."

- David R. Hawkins

What I hold in my mind is a

product of my experiences from

the past and the resulting interpretation

or emotions and beliefs.  If I can change

that reaction I will change the emotions

and my current beliefs, and that which

I hold in my mind.

There are thousands of books that hypothesis concepts and ideas on the theory behind making change in your life. Perhaps millions...

Although I have enjoyed reading many of them over the years, and devour the latest and greatest with vigor and enthusiasm, they usually leave me disillusioned and wanting more.

How do I apply what I have just read?

To take any of these books and apply their principles requires a secret decoder ring that I don't possess.

Why make it so difficult?

I have written several authors over the years asking for their secret formulas to be clearly defined in a workbook format - at least give me the steps to achieve the desired outcome. In all accounts it was to no avail.

David Hawkins inspired me to create a process to let go, change the past and enjoy the present. I created the Present Perfect.

David Hawkins' book "Letting Go" is the last book he wrote before his passing.

"Letting Go" is predicated on the simple idea that you are subject to what you hold in your mind. This is logical, simple and clear, precise and almost impossible to dispute.

If you "let go" of a preconceived notion, you consequently change your beliefs (and what you hold in your mind) and your reality aligns to coincide with your new beliefs.

Change...Evolve

Evolve - Milton Erickson

In the realm of therapy and hypnosis, one name stands out as a

true pioneer and master of his craft: Milton Erickson.

Throughout his illustrious career, Erickson's profound abilities

and innovative techniques have revolutionized the field,

earning him a well-deserved reputation as one of the most

esteemed therapists and hypnotists of all time. His work

continues to inspire awe and garner appreciation from

professionals and individuals alike, as they recognize the

immense impact he has had on the lives he touched.

Milton Erickson's journey began in the early 20th century, and

it quickly became evident that he possessed a gift that set him

apart. His unique approach to therapy, characterized by deep

empathy, respect for the individual, and an unwavering belief

in the human potential, allowed him to unlock profound transformations in his patients. Erickson's ability to connect with people on a profound level, understanding their deepest fears, desires, and motivations, created a therapeutic environment that was both safe and empowering.

However, it was in the realm of hypnosis that Erickson truly shone. His mastery of the art of hypnosis was unparalleled, and he employed it as a powerful tool to help individuals tap into their subconscious minds and effect profound positive changes. Through his exceptional skill, Erickson demonstrated that the mind possesses incredible untapped resources that, when accessed through hypnosis, can bring about remarkable healing, personal growth, and self-empowerment.

What truly sets Erickson apart is his commitment to tailoring his therapeutic interventions to the unique needs and personalities of his clients. He recognized that each individual possesses their own internal landscape, shaped by their experiences, beliefs, and values. With deep reverence for the inherent wisdom of the human mind, Erickson crafted his therapeutic approaches to fit seamlessly into each person's world, allowing them to embrace their own strengths and capabilities.

Milton Erickson not only had remarkable abilities in therapeutic hypnosis but also he developed a deep understanding and application of self-hypnosis. Erickson firmly believed in the power of the human mind to influence one's own thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being. Through his own experiences with chronic pain, he discovered the transformative potential of self-hypnosis as a tool for managing and alleviating suffering.

Erickson and his wife, Elizabeth, embarked on an incredible journey together, using self-hypnosis to combat the chronic pain that afflicted him throughout his life. Their collaboration served as a testament to the efficacy of self-directed hypnotic techniques in achieving profound relief and improved quality of life. Through their exploration, Erickson developed a deep appreciation for the boundless potential of self-hypnosis and its ability to tap into the innate resources within the human mind.

With relentless determination and unwavering belief in the power of self-hypnosis, Erickson and his wife honed their skills, exploring the depths of their subconscious minds to uncover hidden reservoirs of strength, resilience, and healing. They discovered that by accessing these inner realms through self-hypnosis, they could effect remarkable changes in their mental and physical well-being.

Erickson's work continues to inspire generations of therapists, hypnotists, and researchers who seek to unlock the mysteries of the mind and bring about profound positive change in the lives of others. His legacy lives on in the countless individuals he helped, the books and teachings he left behind, and the therapeutic approaches that bear his name. The reverence and appreciation for Milton Erickson's abilities are a testament to the profound impact he has had on the world of therapy and hypnosis.

In honoring Milton Erickson, we recognize not only his extraordinary abilities but also the enduring importance of empathy, creativity, and a deep respect for the individual in the practice of therapy and hypnosis. His contributions have paved the way for a more compassionate, personalized, and effective approach to healing, leaving an indelible mark on the field and forever shaping the way we understand and harness the power of the human mind.
